District Wellness Committee
The Red Clay Consolidated School District recognizes that student wellness and proper nutrition are related to students’ physical well-being, growth, development and readiness to learn. The Board of Education is committed to providing a school environment that encourages student wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition education and regular physical activity as part of the total learning experience.
In a healthy school environment, students will learn about and participate in positive dietary and lifestyle practices that can improve student achievement. It is the policy of the district to encourage healthy lifestyle habits for all members of the school community: children, parents, and staff. The district is always striving to provide resources to students, families, and staff to increase wellness activities. Please visit the Family Wellness Resource Page for resources that families can use to create a healthy environment in the home or provide additional nutrition, health and physical activity education.
